Virtual Instruments

You can use this instrument with the free version of Kontakt player by Native Instruments

The traditional Bulgarian mandolin (or "tambura") is a plucked string instrument. It has four doubled strings and is tuned to Re Sol Si Mi. The sound recording was done in a professional studio with Neumann U87 and Shoeps MK8G microphones.

The instrument was sampled in three dynamics : pp, mf and ff. The midi velocity of each key on the keyboard will correspond to the dynamics as follows, pp - from 1 to 55, mf - from 45 to 90 and ff - from 85 to 127. Six play modes are available: Normal, Single trill, Double and continuous trill, Tremolo, Major and Minor chords, Harmonics and effects (string slips, playing behind the bridge).
