TIME DILATION
Spectral piece for violin, harp, percussion and electronics in real time
"Time dilation" is a spectral piece based on time dilation and frequency modulation. What does a sound become after being stretched in time? To answer to that question, I analyzed the sound spectrum of stretched sounds. This allowed me to observe the universe inside the sound, to follow the evolution of the partials and the micro-intervals created between them. It was also a way to find percussive, crystal clear sounds or noises.
BATTEMENTS
For instrumental and vocal ensembles
This work is the result of musical research through acoustic phenomena and in particular the beat produced by the superposition of two sounds of close frequencies. We hear a note modulated by a tremolo of frequency equal to the difference between the frequencies of the components. These close frequency intervals create binary, ternary and irregular rhythms within a four-beat metric that builds the micro-rhythmic structure of the piece. Likewise, beats occur in the sound spectrum of the diatonic intervals (at the level of the superposition of their harmonics). Barely audible, they have their own universe and evolution, which gives the spectral character of the piece and also allowed me to chain the harmonic content.

MÉTAMORPHOSES
For clarinet and real-time electronics
The use of the theme of metamorphoses has given rise to the creation of new genres, literary (Ovid) and musical (Monteverdi) mutations. In this piece, the metamorphosis is expressed through the sound of the clarinet in B flat and an electroacoustic sound processing and spatialization device which increases the expressiveness of the instrument. In the sound processing patch, the focus is on duration, repetition, timbre, pitch and the propagation of sound in space. The HOA library of ambisonic spatialization is the main tool of the patch.
